A super moist and healthy banana bread that's made with whole wheat flour.
This is the best banana bread that I ever had in my entire life! Seriously, this banana bread is a great way to start your day! it's healthy, it does taste like bananas, it's super moist, and the crust is just amazing!
As I already mentioned in some previous posts, I am taking an amazing Child Nutrition course. In this course we had optional weekly cooking assignments, (WEEK 4: Create a dish or baked product OF YOUR CHOICE (one that could be served by itself, or as part of a meal). The creation should be homemade and contain real, natural ingredients as much as possible. ) - for me that meant baking something from scratch and making it as healthy as possible!
So I decided to bake with my 3 years old niece Sophia, a healthy banana bread that contains whole wheat flour and no butter!
So we baked our healthy banana bread loaf, it came out REALLY good and Sophia loved it!

Sadly the course has came to an end, but I must say that I learned a lot of interesting things from the course and really enjoyed taking it. Healthy Banana Bread Recipe
Serves: 12 servings
Ingredients
- 2-3 mashed bananas
- 2/3 cup sunflower oil
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup natural greek yogurt
- 1 cup all purpose wheat flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180° and grease a loaf pan with sunflower oil.
- Combine all ingredients together and pour mixture into greased loaf pan. (you can add some chocolate chips if you like)
- Bake for 60-80 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing. Enjoy!
